I admit I'm horrible blogger. I apologize for not updating my blog for many, many, many months. Unfortunately the first thing to go to the wayside when life reared it's challenging head was my blog. I had to take wee little break earlier this year while my dad was dealing with a serious illness. Thankfully the Doctors finally figured out what was ailing him (after two hospitalizations) and he is doing much better now. So thank you for sticking around and finally a new project to share with you. I created this fun Mermaid Banner for Alpha Stamps using the new fabulous Die-cut Chipboard Scallop Shell, Sand Castle, and Mermaid Tail.
To create the background for the mermaid tail and sand castle I ripped some of the Fresh Mini Paper Set
into strips and sewed them together using a zigzag stitch setting.
This is the first time I've ever used a sewing machine and it was easier
than I thought it would be, of course mom helped a lot!
I have to admit my favorite part of the entire project was the little garden I created using Colorful Flower Sequins and the Seashell Sequin Mix.
